These images cannot be copied, distributed, reproduced, or used in any form, including but not limited to online publications, social media posts, printed materials, or advertisements, without our express written permission .
We will start to post about baby hedgehogs once they are 1 week old. If you'd like to be added to our waitlist just contact us! There is no deposit needed in order to be added to the waitlist for one of our hedgehogs. If you are on the waitlist, you get the advantage of getting to reserve the babies before others. In the case that you no longer want a baby hedgehog, please contact us as soon as possible so someone else can get a baby! If you are on the waitlist, that doesn't guarantee you will get a baby.
Check our availability to see what we have ready to go to a new home. We update the website daily, so if a hedgehog is marked available then it most likely is. If you like a particular hedgehog that you saw on our available page, you an then contact us in order to reserve it. Once you reserve a baby, it is considered sold too you. Our reservation fee is $20. This fee is non-refundable and will be added on top of the hedgehog price listed. We usually start taking reservations for babies once they are 4-5 weeks old and we know they are in full health and thriving. This reservation fee is paid by e-transfer to our email: northernhedgehogs@gmail.com.
Please contact us and wait for us to confirm before sending any money. We start to let go the baby hedgehogs to new homes when they are 7 weeks old. You must pick up you hedgehog no later than 10 days after they have been reserved. If the baby is reserved but not purchased within the 10 days period, the reservation will no longer be valid and your hedgehog will be available to the next person on the waiting list.
At Northern Hedgehogs, we provide a lifetime warranty against Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome (WHS). All claims under the WHS health guarantee must be accompanied by a necropsy report that confirms a positive diagnosis of WHS from a licensed veterinarian who has experience with WHS and specializes in exotic animals.
Please note that this health guarantee does not cover neglect or any health issues that may have arisen outside of our care.
We do NOT sell to pet stores or wholesalers. We do not sell to breeders unless we have a working relationship with them. At the moment, we are only working with ethical breeders in Europe and USA. That being said we will not sell opposite gender babies to the same home. We have the right to refuse service to anybody we don't feel will provide a caring and loving home.
Getting a Hedgehog
Hedgehogs are an amazing animals, but they are not for everyone. We expect that you have done your research on the unique needs of your new family member. Adding a pet is a long time commitment that should be taken seriously.
You are more than welcome to ask any questions about hedgehogs and their care. We do not offer refunds.
Meetup for Purchase
For the health and safety of our herd we do not do home visits.
We meetup outside, usually at 425 University Avenue East, Waterloo in front of the Tim Hortons.
Delivery is available in Waterloo for an additional $25.
